Brand Marketing Manager

Job Description
The Manager of Brand Marketing is a high energy, outgoing, creative, collaborative, relationship building leader responsible for protecting the integrity of the Goal Zero brand, transitioning it as appropriate with the strategic direction of the company, and growing brand awareness and product demand. This position is responsible for social media, content development, ambassadors & sponsorships, field marketing, and consumer events. This position is the key external face
to the Goal Zero community.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead, evolve, and cultivate the Goal Zero brand strategy
Be a passionate Goal Zero evangelist that delivers the best in class brand marketing plans, activations, partnerships, and experiences to Goal Zero customers
Inspire consumers, influencers, and employees to love the Goal Zero brand share our story.
Work closely with product marketing, creative services, product development, sales, customer service, and public relations on brand activations and an overall customer experience that inspires and educates.
Grow social channels through engaging content, strong interaction, & community growth while building raving Goal Zero fans.
Manage our Ambassador Program of sponsored athletes, customers, and other influencers
Manage sponsorship activities that align with our brand to drive awareness
Plan, strategize and execute on consumer focused grassroots events in key retail markets to drive local awareness and demand.
Lead the creation and publishing of compelling content (video, photo, stories) for products, projects, & events that engage and inspire brand fans & consumers
Build partnerships with like-minded brands for collaborative programs and products.
Set strategic vision for our field marketing reps to educate and inspire consumers and retailers
Take on various marketing oriented projects as assigned to drive both internal and external brand clarity, support, and growth
Establish and maintain a brand awareness and impact scorecard framework that objectively
Work closely with creative team and e-commerce to ensure their content needs are supported.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
BA/BS in Marketing or similar field or equivalent work experience, required
MBA, a plus
Knowledge of outdoor and/or action sports industries and key influencers in the space preferred
Awareness of Goal Zero products a plus
Experience in event planning, execution, marketing activation and management preferred
Experience in grassroots, community, experiential marketing strongly preferred
4 years marketing or brand growth experience required
1 year managing social channels required
1-3 years in consumer electronics, outdoor, or tech industry, preferred
Strong background in digital content creation: video, blogging, & photography preferred
Solid writing skills and an eye for visual design
Solid business acumen â  the ability to balance amazing campaigns/activations/events with the bottomline benefits they will deliver
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
International and domestic travel is required â  approximately 20%
Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Ability to work in an office environment as well as out in the field
Position to be located at Goal Zero in Bluffdale, Utah. No relocation available

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
